Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Runway Connect handles information when you use the Runway Connect mobile application and related services. If you have privacy questions, contact us at support@runwayconnect.app.

1. Information you provide

Depending on how you use Runway Connect, you may provide information such as:

• Account and authentication information, including your email address and sign-in identity.
• Profile information, including your name, username, account type, creative category or brand industry, location you enter or select, biography, profile photo, website, contact information, specialties, collaboration interests, hiring preferences and related professional information.
• Content you create or upload, including posts, stories, portfolio media, captions, comments and other user-generated content.
• Communications, including direct messages, image messages and voice messages.
• Professional activity, including opportunities, applications, events, RSVPs, saved items and related information you submit through the service.
• Preferences and settings you choose within Runway Connect.
• Support requests and information you send when contacting us.

2. Camera, photos and microphone

Runway Connect may request access to your device camera and photo/media library when you choose to capture, select, upload or save media. It may request microphone access when you choose to record a voice message. These permissions are used to provide the feature you select.

3. Location information

Runway Connect currently uses location information that you enter or select as part of your profile or other app content. The current app does not rely on your device's precise GPS location for this profile information.

4. How we use information

We use information handled through Runway Connect to:

• Create, authenticate and maintain your account.
• Display and operate profiles, posts, stories, portfolios, messaging and social interactions.
• Provide opportunities, applications, events, collaboration and hiring-related features.
• Save and apply your settings and preferences.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.
• Respond to support, privacy and account-deletion requests.

5. Service providers and data sharing

Runway Connect uses service providers to operate parts of the service. For example, Supabase provides backend services such as authentication, database and file storage, and Resend is used for transactional account email delivery. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to Runway Connect.

Information you intentionally publish or share through social features may be visible to other Runway Connect users according to the feature and your applicable settings. Direct messages are intended for the participants in the conversation.

Runway Connect does not sell your personal information.

6. Data security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by the service, including authenticated access controls and backend authorization rules. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain information while it is needed to provide Runway Connect and for legitimate operational, security and legal purposes. You can permanently delete your account from within the app by going to Profile → Menu → Settings → Delete account. Account deletion removes your account and associated account data from the active service.

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion using our Account Deletion page or by emailing support@runwayconnect.app from the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify that you control the account before processing an external request.

Some information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Information that is retained for such a purpose will be kept only as appropriate for that purpose.

8. Your choices

You can manage available profile information, preferences, privacy options and notification settings through Runway Connect. You can also control camera, photo/media and microphone permissions through your device settings.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Runway Connect changes. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service where appropriate.
